A: The primary sector includes activities that involve the exploitation of natural resources - such as agriculture, dairy, fishing, forestry and mining; it is also called the agriculture and related sector.

A: Goods that are used up in producing final goods and services are intermediate goods; the value of final goods (goods that reach the consumer) already includes the value of intermediate goods, so only final goods are counted in GDP.
